For Change Co., a charity focused on tackling youth homelessness in Melbourne, hosted a thank you event today for organisations and individuals that supported the development of their café in Middle Park. Our CEO Julien Dehornoy and local state and federal MPs Martin Foley and Josh Burns were on hand to celebrate and wish them well for their grand opening next week.
Located in the station building at Middle Park stop 130, Yarra Trams is proud to support For Change Co. in their mission by providing them with the fantastic light-filled building at a peppercorn rent. This is an example of our commitment to not only provide world class public transport for Melburnians, but to also contribute to our city by supporting organisations making a stronger, more inclusive, and more sustainable Melbourne.
The café will have its grand opening to the public on Tuesday morning (May 10th), and we hope local residents and everyone catching the tram from route 96’s stop 130 has a ‘coffee for a cause’ and supports the cafe before travelling on the network.
