Taking you to the heart of the Junction
Tram customers in Moonee Valley will soon benefit from a major upgrade to the Moonee Ponds junction tram stop.
Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria (PTV) will revitalise the Moonee Ponds junction as they replace old infrastructure with new and more modern infrastructure.
Tram tracks that are over 50 years old will be replaced on Pascoe Vale Road from the junction up to Wilson Street. Approximately 800 meters of track including the new Junction and new termini east of Mount Alexander Road in Pascoe Vale Road will be replaced.
This modernisation process provides an opportunity for Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria (PTV) to upgrade other tram infrastructure at the junction. This will include:
